DETROIT – Bartech Workforce Management has
landed a three-year $100 million contract from Eaton Corp.
to manage the $8 billion auto and truck supplier with
temporary IT staffing services – one of the biggest
contracts ever won by Bartech.
The minority owned Bartech Group – which
generates about $200 million a year in contracts - will
manage the temporary and contract staffing services for
Eaton nationwide and provide one-stop shopping for temporary
IT, professional, technical, administrative and industrial
staff.
“This contract
represents another step in the growth for Bartech’s Managed
Service Division,’’ said spokesman Shaun Wilson. “Bartech
Workforce has grown by leaps and bounds the past few years
as more companies outsource temporary services.”
The initial phase of the program will
focus on Eaton’s domestic operations, and provide a template
for expansion into other operations.
“Eaton analyzed a
variety of providers in this arena, from pure-play
technology to workforce partnerships,” said Jeffrey Romig,
Eaton’s vice president of Supply Chain Management. “BWM came
to the table with the strongest approach and processes to
take the management of our temporary/contract labor
operation to the next level. Working with BWM not only
represents a strategic solution to temporary staffing
services, it also supports Eaton’s commitment to supplier
diversity initiatives.”
Jon Barfield,
Bartech Group Chairman, called the Eaton contract a
significant step in expanding his company’s divisional goals
in workforce management services and addressing the
increased requirements of national and global companies that
are looking for process improvement and savings.
“As we continue to see trends in
our clients’ needs to better manage their staffing spend, we
will continue to invest heavily in BWM to address such
demands,’’ Barfield said.
